Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a multiethnic background. Her father, Elroy Fernandez is an Sri Lankan. She has two brothers and one older sister. Parents relocated to Bahrain in 1980s due to the Lankan turmoil and she was raised in Bahrain. She received a scholarship to go to an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia after she had completed her studies in Bahrain. Passionate about languages and cultures inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz language school where she improved her French as well as Arabic while learning Spanish. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6th, 2006 and also competed at Miss Universe 2006. After her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone's father was a badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been raised both in Copenhagen and Bangalore. While still a teenager, Padukone competed in a variety of national badminton tournaments. She eventually gave up playing when she made the decision to be a professional fashion model. Padukone was born in Mangalore, India. Her native language Konkani is her origin. Padukone Village is situated within Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka located in India. His father, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of world-class fame, while her mother is a travel consultant.
